He said that the number of violations that include writing on the outside of the bus and alarm signals and emergency door amounted to 102 violations, or about 35% of the total number of violations committed in that period.

On the number of violations recorded by the Authority on the transfer of a number of students greater than the capacity of the school bus allowed, and as stipulated in the systems adopted by the Commission, Nabhan told «Emirates Today» that one violation was recorded.

He pointed out that the work of the Public Transport Agency concerning the inspection of school buses is carried out in accordance with Executive Council Resolution No. 2 of 2008 concerning the regulation of school transport in the Emirate, on the basis of which the Authority contravenes the operator of school transport in case of violating any of its obligations stipulated in the resolution or resolutions Issued pursuant thereto, as well as application of administrative decision 196 for the year 2015.

He added that these decisions set out the terms of reference of the institution, which includes verifying that school administrations fulfill their obligations, including the identification of students' seats at the beginning of the school year, adding that the operator is violated in case of non-implementation of any of its obligations stipulated.

He pointed out that the violations recorded during the said period included 12 types of violations, and that the violation of the non-compliance by the operator with the obligations stipulated in the second place, where the number of 63 violations, which included the lack of access to the supervisor or expired, Sufficient bus seats for students. Nabhan discussed the type and number of violations that were issued against the operators since the beginning of this year. He pointed out that 35 violations were issued because of the driving of the school bus by an unauthorized driver, as well as 35 violations for not removing or covering the term "bus bus" When using a school bus in an activity other than school transportation.

Nabhan said 32 violations were also released because the school bus stop was not operated while students stopped or went off, as well as 26 for driving the school bus by a driver with a permit for more than 30 days.

The results of the inspection showed 17 violations due to the non-compliance of the operators with the standards and standards related to the safety of the school bus, which includes the obligation to provide fire extinguishers, compliance with the validity date, in addition to the liberation of 16 violations because of the operation of the school bus with a permit for more than 30 days.

Nabhan pointed out the release of 10 violations because of the use of other vehicles in school transport without obtaining a permit, as well as the release of five violations against school bus drivers for not following their commitment stipulated in the aforementioned decisions, in addition to the registration of four violations because of violations of school obligations by school buses , And pointed to the registration of one violation because of the non-operation of the electronic parking arm when using the school bus in any activity other than school transport.

A unified system of control

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has been able to develop a new unified system for remote school bus control and has started piloting it six months ago. The system monitors three to five violations related to school transport listed in the Traffic and Traffic Law and five violations of Law No. 2 of 2008 on Transport School in the Emirate of Dubai, where he explained that the system monitors these violations without the need for an inspector or policeman.
