The owner of the famous 'Arena' club in Gangnam, Seoul, has been arrested for suspicion of a large amount of tax evasion.

"A criminal charge is called and there is a fear that the evidence will be destroyed," said Song Kyung-ho, a judge in charge of the Seoul Central District Court.

Mori, who is the representative of the arena who was charged with arrest warrants like Kang, was also arrested.

Kang and others are accused of not paying 16.2 billion won in taxes in 2014 and 2017 due to the fact that they operate the arena and mainly deal with cash transactions, reduce sales and inflate employee benefits.

The National Tax Service filed a lawsuit against the arena last year and charged six representatives of the club 's paperwork for alleging a total of 15 billion won in taxes.

Later, a police investigation revealed that Kang was the owner of the property and led the tax evasion. The IRS accused Kang of doing a tax investigation on the arena again at the request of the police.

Earlier in the Arena, Singer Victory has been identified as a place for prostitution.
