The Authority said in a statement to Emirates Al-Youm that cardholders can benefit from payment of various transaction fees in many local and federal government agencies, in addition to obtaining communication line cards, as a substitute for health insurance card, as well as storage of patient health data.

The ID card allows its users to pass through smart travel gates, at the desire of the customers to activate them, in addition to using the ID card through the digital certification gates.

The ID card is a means of protecting the personal transactions carried out by the ID card. It is also a means to verify the identity of the cardholder, as well as the possibility of using the fingerprint and the personal picture to verify the identity of the holder, noting that the secret code consists of four Numbers, and can be changed personally in person using the card reading program of the body.

She pointed out that if the PIN is not activated during the registration process or if the activation code is canceled due to several false attempts, the customer can go to the nearest registration center. This does not require obtaining a prior appointment, and informing the Center's supervisor of the desire to activate or change the secret code, The procedure requires that the identity card be obtained, the identity of the holder is verified using the fingerprint, and the auditor is required to enter a new four digit number.

In a related context, a survey conducted by the Federal Authority for Identity and Nationality on its website revealed the role of identity card in facilitating the various transactions in public and private sector institutions, with 84.88% satisfied with them, 6.86% dissatisfied and 6% 18% neutral.

In another survey carried out by the TRA during the period from early January to the end of the same month, the number of times the customer used the ID card directly to obtain a specific service, 42.35% of the respondents that they used between once to five times per month, and 8.56 % Used it six to 15 times a month, 10.88% used it more than 15 times a month, 38.13% said it has not been used yet.

The TRA, in its instructions on its website, confirmed that the customer should review the data contained in his application and verify its accuracy before paying registration fees, whether in the printing office or through the electronic form. The application can be requested by the TRA to amend the telephone number and the PO Box only, either through the call center or through the IM service on the TRA website, or through its pages on social media sites. If the card is printed and received by the customer, it must check with the nearest service center of the Authority, along with the card received, the official documents confirming the data to be modified and a request to replace the card.

In case the client loses the receipt of the ID card, he can visit the post office in the text message he receives by telephone, and show the identification document, as well as the above mentioned text message to the postal officer, so that the customer can receive his ID card.
