Venezuela broke off political and diplomatic relations with Colombia. This was stated by the legitimate president of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolas Maduro.

Venezuela has previously deployed armed forces on the border with Colombia. This was stated in the command of the Armed Forces of the Bolivarian Republic.
