In Moscow, a criminal case was initiated after a shootout near the metro station "New Cheryomushki", during which two men died. According to one version, the killer opened fire right on the street, shot a man at the entrance to the subway, and then killed himself.

“The investigating authorities of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city of Moscow opened a criminal case on the grounds of crimes under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (murder) and Part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal arms trafficking), ”the official statement on the department’s website says.

The SU IC in Moscow also notes that investigative actions are now taking place at the scene, the purpose of which is to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

The official report of the Investigative Committee states that the identities of the victims have already been established, but their names are not specified.

According to some media reports, the name of the shot man is Rasul Abdullayev. It is stated in social networks that Abdullayev was 60 years old, he was born in Georgia, in Russia he was selling auto parts and cars.

The second victim, according to media reports, was named Vagif Gumbatov.

After the news about the shooting in the South-West of Moscow broke up on social networks, there was information that one of the dead was found the journalistic identity of The Moscow Times in the name of Vagif Magomedovich Gumbatov, ending in 2023.

The social networks got photos of the document. According to the certificate, Vagif Gumbatov is the regional leader for Russia and the CIS. However, materials under this name were not published on The Moscow Times website.

In the edition itself they claim that none of their employees has any relation to the shooting near the Novye Cheryomushki metro station. Representatives of the editorial staff of The Moscow Times told reporters that the certificate in the name of Vagif Gumbatov, which was found during the death, was most likely false. The publication claims that an employee with that name does not work for them.

The publishing editor, Daniel Kozin, told the Moscow news agency “Moscow” that the editorial office does not have any information about the shootout around the Novye Cheryomushki metro station or how one of the victims could have a press card.

“We have no information about this. And I am afraid that she will not appear with us, ”said Kozin.

According to REN TV, an exchange of fire at the New Cheryomushki metro station resulted from a quarrel between the dead - allegedly both men were armed and quarreled right near the station entrance, after which one of them fired at his opponent, and, realizing what had happened, accounts with life.

In turn, the source of Life claims that the cause of the shooting was "blood feud."

Social network users living in the Novye Cheryomushki area claim that the killer shot the victim out of a gun, shooting in the lumbar area.

A photo of the alleged weapon allegedly found on the scene also appeared in social networks.

Over the past month, this is not the only fatal case of shooting in the Moscow region. On April 14, an unknown person shot two men out of an unidentified weapon near the village of Izmailovo in the Leninsky district of the Moscow region. One of them died from a wound to the abdomen, the second was hospitalized with a tangent head wound.

Upon the incident, the district department of the Investigative Department of the Insurance Code for the Moscow Region initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (murder), h. 3 Art. 30 Clause “a” Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder of two or more persons), Part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code (illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms).
