"Did you know that the name of Mohammed Salah has no points because he donated it to his team Liverpool to stay on top, God on your morals, the pride of the Arabs."

If you are a follower of social networking sites, such phrases have inevitably come to you, in reference to praise of everything that is issued - or probably does not - by the Egyptian football star and Liverpool FC Mohammed Salah.

Thus Salah became "the pride of the Arabs". Whether or not the phrase is used as an expression of fascination or humor, it has become a "trend" in the language of social networking sites, or "cliché" in the language of cinema or journalism.

Certainly, Salah has achieved a global football success, pointing out that he may not have reached an Arab player before. Even comparing him to the current football legend Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi does not stop, and it is interesting to see Salah among the winners of the international awards.

The Egyptian star publishes the list of search results on Google's 2018 search engine in Egypt for the second year. Salah's Twitter account follows more than 7.5 million followers, his account on Instagram is 22 million, followed by more than 11 million followers on Facebook.

Novelty and exaggeration
But the phrase "God is on your morals, the pride of the Arabs" turned into comic material to shed light on what some saw as an exaggeration in praising Salah.

A picture of Salah carrying a fish caught, accompanied by a comment, "Muhammad Salah saves a fish from drowning, God is on your morals, Arabs pride." A second image of the Egyptian star and with it books "Mohammed Salah holds the ball because it can not walk .. God on your ethics, Abu Salah."

At the level of Liverpool, praise has never been missed by Salah, who has long been a favorite of the club's fans.

"Salah gave the penalty to Ferminiu, I was close to tears, because we know the importance of scoring for Salah, it's a fantastic shot. In any case, "a statement that ignited social networking sites after the praise of the Egyptian star.

Salah left the second penalty for fellow Ferminho, despite competing for top scorer with Gabon's Pierre-Emeric Obamyang and Englishman Harry Kane, and the penalty was enough to give the Egyptian star an advantage.

In a demonstration in Lebanon a few days ago in protest against the deteriorating economic situation, a demonstrator raised a banner reading: "Learn humility from Muhammad Salah. God is on your morals, O Arabs."

Lebanese activists circulated pictures of a young man like Egyptian Mohammed Salah wearing a yellow jacket and a muzzle taking part in a demonstration in downtown Beirut.

In Jordan, Mughar published a picture of Salah Bakiya and wrote: "Salah cries after he knows the Jordanian employee's salary."

You marry a beautiful young man, because all the ethics took Muhammad Salah.

The symbol of pride is lost
Sociologists say people are always looking for a legend or symbol from their countrymen, tribe, or religion to be proud of.

And because the Arabs are not at their best after having lost their intellectual, political and scientific symbols, or almost, they have only to be proud of the "pride of the Arabs" Mohammed Salah.

Certainly, the great country or the great nation is still born and able to have more great and distinguished people, not only in sport, but in all walks of life.
