The scandal around the greenhouse complex "Podmoskovnoe" in the village of Ostrovtsy, Ramensky District, Moscow Region, broke out on Tuesday, when local activists began posting photos and videos of animals on social networks.

“Terrible things are happening near our home,” wrote the zoodetendress Irina Mikhailova on Instagram. - Vietnamese steal pets, pick up stray, breed, kill them and eat! Nobody is allowed into the territory, television has arrived, but they are not allowed. Volunteers spent a lot of time, fees were opened for the sterilization of animals, but in the end they just devour! There are eyewitnesses, like a live cat was planted on a skewer ... A man lost a dog, later he found her skin on this territory. ”

As a local resident Catherine told the RT (the interlocutor asked not to indicate her last name), about 40 dogs, including puppies, were kept in the cold, without water and food, tied with chains and strangles.

When the calls for the rescue of animals spread across social networks, local activists and volunteers gathered at the gates of the agricultural enterprise.

“The guards refused to let us into the territory,” says Ekaterina. - People from the administration of the company laughed and said that dogs are needed for protection. Then about ten people drove up in several cars. They demanded to leave, threatened, said that they photographed us and our cars and would be able to calculate home addresses. Even threatened with criminal prosecution. “Then we called the police.” Even before the arrival of law enforcement officers, the Vietnamese began to run out of the gate, someone was taken out in tinted cars. ”

It was possible to break through the gate with the arrival of the Ministry of Internal Affairs officers - the administration of the enterprise allowed to go in and pick up the animals.

“There is a huge hangar, where barking comes from - we were never allowed in there. As a result, we wrote several statements to the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the cruel treatment of animals, ”the interlocutor of RT notes.

The press service of the Ministry of Interior in the Moscow region RT stated that they responded to the call of volunteers.

“The precinct arrived at the call. A policeman and two volunteers walked onto the grounds and took the dogs. In addition, a police officer made a round of territory. No persons were found there illegally or engaged in illegal activities. There were no more calls to the police, ”the RT Ministry’s press service for the Moscow Region told RT.

Part of the rescued dogs were taken to themselves by volunteers and caring residents of Ostrovtsy, while the rest were taken to a shelter, which singer Ilona Bronevitskaya contains.

“I’m sure they haven’t eaten anyone,” Bronevitskaya noted in an interview with RT. “But the fact that dogs are kept in terrible conditions is unacceptable.” There, in Ostrovtsy, there were only a few dozen dogs, but I also know many similar places, where there are hundreds of them. The saddest thing is that no one is working on this problem. ”

Live in plywood boxes

A former employee of the company told RT that Vietnamese as hired labor appeared on this territory almost ten years ago.

“They began to deliver them in 2009, when a new owner appeared at the greenhouses, and two years ago the Vietnamese already had over 800 people there,” says Vladimir Shimko (the interlocutor’s name was changed at his request. - RT ). - Now, I think, even more. Moreover, many of them have been living and working there from the very beginning - for ten years already. Someone gives birth to children, someone dies. "

Established in 2009, LLC Podmoskovnoe, according to the Kontur.Focus database, through LLC Agrofirma Agroholding, is owned by Irina Alekseeva and Vera Antimonova. Owners rent greenhouses for rent to other companies and individual entrepreneurs.

The territory of the agricultural company is well guarded. The entrance is blocked by a barrier and several strong employees of the PSC, and along the perimeter there is a high fence with barbed wire. In the greenhouses themselves and the corridors between them are installed surveillance cameras.

However, anyone can get out of the gate if he explains at the guard post where he is going and why. The correspondent of RT, who introduced himself as a wholesale buyer of vegetables, was allowed into the greenhouses without any problems.

The natives of Vietnam live right there - right in the greenhouses, where high-rise plywood barracks are built. In one such section are placed about three dozen people. Farmers from Asia are sleeping in boxes knocked out of plywood sheets. In improvised beds, sometimes there are not even pillows and mattresses.

In greenhouses, farmers grow onions. Many workers spend here for several years.

Immediately, in the barracks, kitchens are being equipped - well-worn electric tiles and kettles, dirty cracked dishes. In the summer, farmers are taken to work in the fields along the Ostrovets Highway.

These people wash water from watering hoses, and the washed things are dried in the passages between greenhouses or directly above the beds, despite the sharp unpleasant smell of onions, which makes the eyes of a person unaccustomed to such a situation to water strongly.

Unsanitary conditions reign in the “city”: dirt, garbage - empty beer cans and cigarette packs are everywhere. The farmers, according to other tenants, do not hesitate, sometimes they spend right on the beds with the onions.

“When I first saw this, I immediately stopped buying vegetables and greens in the store, since there is an opportunity to grow at my dacha,” recalls David, who rents one of the greenhouses in Podmoskovny.

Only a few speak Russian or English from a few hundred farmers. Therefore, it was difficult to talk with them about their life.

According to domestic entrepreneurs who are renting a few greenhouses in the Moscow Region, Vietnamese natives solve all domestic issues without leaving the territory.

“Since no one has documents, they are afraid to go out of the gate once again,” says Mikhail, who grows garden flowers in a nearby greenhouse with his daughter. - Only a few people have any references - they go to the store and buy bulk food, which they then sell here with a surcharge. That is, they have their own grocery store here. There are also hairdressers here. ”

Interlocutor RT notes that often between the Vietnamese, conflicts and fights break out.

Pay workers about 12-15 thousand rubles per month. At the same time, they spend money mainly on smartphones — they buy expensive gadgets, 20-30 thousand rubles each, and they spend all their free time on the Internet.

To the naked eye, it is clear that there is a clear hierarchy and division of labor in the farmers' commune. While the business-like young Vietnamese with the “seventh” iPhone leads reporting in a notebook, others hang over the beds, while others do the work of porters and drag heavy bags of crops from the greenhouses to the corridor.

Children roam around the greenhouses or ride bicycles. There are babies who, obviously, were born in the back streets of the greenhouse complex. While parents work, elderly women are engaged in raising children.

Hide and seek migrants?

RT interlocutors believe that some Vietnamese may be in Russia illegally, and during inspections they hide from law enforcement officers in basements.

“It's easy to hide in greenhouses - it's a huge area with many different rooms and rooms, and under the greenhouses there is a whole network of basements where they hide,” says Shimko.

The Moscow Region policemen declare that they regularly conduct inspections on the territory of the agricultural enterprise.

“Since the beginning of 2018, police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia“ Ramenskoye ”have taken measures in the territory of an agricultural company located in the village of Ostrovtsy aimed at identifying violations in the field of illegal migration,” the RT Ministry’s press service for the Moscow region told RT. - According to the results of inspections, no significant violations were identified. On the territory of the agrofirm systematically measures are taken to curb illegal migration. ”

The workers themselves "Moscow Region" confirm that the raids are carried out.

“Recently they came - they took away several people without documents,” says an employee of the agrofarm rental department to a RT correspondent who introduced himself as a potential tenant.

According to the interlocutor of RT, the company has a dormitory for living of hired workers, but it is possible to agree with the administration on the construction of barracks right in the greenhouses.

“We cannot officially allow you to live directly in greenhouses like the Vietnamese. But you come, and we will talk, ”added an employee of“ Moscow Region ”.

Contact with the owners and the leadership of "Moscow Region" RT failed.
