The Shenzhou 13 flight crew sent holiday blessings to young volunteers

　　On the occasion of the 36th International Volunteer Day, the Shenzhou 13 flight crew on a mission at the China Space Station extended holiday blessings to the vast number of young volunteers by means of video.

　　Astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu successively expressed their blessings and hopes to the young volunteers.

They praised the achievements of young volunteers in epidemic prevention and control, poverty alleviation, rural revitalization, community development, emergency rescue and so on. Strugglers who unite knowledge and action, insist on walking with the motherland and dedication to the people, with youthful dreams and practical actions, to make new and greater contributions to the realization of the Chinese dream.

In 2016, the “Flying Flag”, a Chinese young volunteer embroidered by young volunteers from all over the country, flew into space on the Tiangong-2 Space Laboratory, becoming the world's first volunteer flag to travel in space.

Astronauts Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong displayed images of young volunteers' flags in the Tiangong-2 space laboratory, which became the common memory of hundreds of millions of volunteers, inspiring them to learn the spirit of spaceflight and to be volunteer pioneers.
