Egypt's Al Ahly beat Morocco's Wydad 2-1 on Sunday in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final. Percy Tau opened the scoring in the fourth minute of stoppage time for the first half.

Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba added the second goal in the 59th minute, before Seif Eddine Bouhra scored the third in the 86th minute. It was the third time the two teams had met in the final of the continental competition after 2017 and 2022.
