Japan won a bronze medal in artistic swimming and team technical routines at the World Swimming Championships being held in Qatar in the Middle East. This is the second time that Japan has won a medal in this event.
This was also the first medal won by a Japanese team at this tournament. The gold medal went to China and the silver medalwent to Spain. The competition also serves as a selection for the Paris Olympics, and the top five teams, excluding countries and regions that have already qualified, will be selected based on the total score.
