Sumo Summer Tournament: Keno Kaze is promoted to New Juryo, the first sumo wrestler from Ehime Prefecture in 29 years. The first day of the summer tournament will be held on May 12th this year at the Kokugikan in Ryogoku, Tokyo.

The Japan Sumo Association held a ranking organization meeting for the next summer tournament to be held in May this year, with Abukoku of Abumatsu Stable, Tsukahara Kai Tochi of Kasugano Stable.
