Padres pitcher Hiroki Matsui held his second actual pitching practice at the training camp in Peoria, Arizona. Matsui threw 31 pitches against a total of six batters, and pitched well, getting two strikeouts.
Yu Darvish also practiced pitching in a real-life format, pitching 27 pitches against seven batters, resulting in one strikeout, three hit hits, and a walk. There were two pitchers at the camp, and the previous assignment was Matsui's first actual practice.
