An investigation into the cause of death has now been completed. The former lead singer in the Ostkurve had been president of his club since mid-2022. His death in January sparked widespread sympathy and shock across the country. The authorities had already announced that they "most likely assumed a natural death." Toxicological and histological samples were taken for further examination.
