FIFA launches friendly matches dedicated to the national teams. Its trial version is held in Saudi Arabia and Algeria.
There will be 4 teams in one place, with each of these teams playing two matches. Saudi Arabia will host two groups without participating in the matches designated to help teams that have not previously qualified for the World Cup. Currently there are 20 teams in the edition. "Experimental. We hope there will be more in the 2026 version," says FIFA director of the regional member associations of FIFA in Europe, Alkhan Mammadov.
