Germany's Olympic candidates have bought the first four tickets for the competitions off Marseille. Ilca-7 helmsman Philipp Buhl, windsurfer Theresa Marie Steinlein and 2022 windsurfing world champion Sebastian Kördel have cleared all the qualification hurdles.
The three top players competing for the North German Regatta Association can expect to be nominated by the German Olympic Sports Confederation in June. In the Olympic classes Ilca 6 and 49er, however, the players from the German Sailing Team did not make it into the nomination in their final elimination regatta off Mallorca.
