The Marc-Vivien Foé Prize rewards the best African player in the France football championship (Ligue 1) Among them are Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi and Lensois Seko Fofana. The winner will be announced on May 30.

The prize created in 2009 is awarded by a jury composed of nearly 100 former players and journalists specializing in French and African football. It is named after former Cameroon international RC Lens Marc-vivien foé, who died in the middle of a match.
