Cameroon's football association has excluded 52 players from the playoffs of the top national league due to registration irregularities. The footballers are said to have given false age information.
Among the players, Wilfried Nathan Douala is said to be a member of the Cameroonian squad for the recently completed Africa Cup of Nations. The supposedly 17-year-old has not yet commented on the allegations. In the past, there have been some spectacular suspicions regarding players from Africa or with African roots. In Germany, among others, Youssoufa Moukoko, Bakery Jatta from HSV and former Frankfurt professional Anthony Yeboah.
