Christian Wück will succeed interim national coach Horst Hrubesch for the German footballers after the Olympic Games in the summer. The 50-year-old led the German U17 men's team to the World Cup title in Indonesia in December.
He has been working as a coach for various youth teams at the DFB since 2012, and his contract as U17 coach expires this summer. HRubesch secured the German women's participation in the Olympics for Paris last week with a 2-0 win against the Netherlands in Heerenveen.
