Zelensky replaces the chief of the General Staff in his reshuffle of the military command. President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, continues with the changes in the military leadership after the dismissal of the head of the Armed Forces, Valeri Zaluzhni, by announcing the appointment of a new head.

Major General Anatoly Bargilievich, 54, has held the position of commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the armed forces of Ukraine since October 2023.
