Zakharova: Russia expects the UN to urge the West to avoid supplying weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Earlier, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the creation by European countries of a missile coalition to supply Kyiv with weapons to launch strikes deep into the Russian Federation would be a suicidal step.

It was also reported that the European Parliament voted for a new aid fund for Ukraine in the amount of €50 billion. The UN secretariat will call for the avoidance of anything that “could aggravate the conflict,” Zakharova said.
