Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang had telephone calls with Palestinian Foreign Minister Maliki and Israeli Foreign Minister Kohen. Qin Gang said that China is highly concerned about the recent intensification of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the escalation of tension.
China strongly condemns words and deeds that violate relevant United Nations resolutions, supports Palestine and Israel in resuming peace talks as soon as possible on the basis of the two-State solution, and is willing to play a positive role in that regard.
