Activists circulated on social media video clips of nurses at Al-Makassed Islamic Charitable Society Hospital in Beirut, who terrorized some of the elderly there. The nurses’ sarcastic movements and pranks against elderly patients received great interaction and anger from social media activists.
Bloggers demanded that all hospital officials be held accountable for not monitoring the conditions of patients in the hospital, and they questioned the reason for the absence of the Ministry of Health and the patients’ families. For its part, the hospital administration issued an explanatory statement in which it denounced what it stated in the video clips.
