Messianism or Messianicism is the belief of the Jewish people who believe in Yeshua (the Hebrew name for Jesus) as the promised Messiah. Since the annexation of the Old City of Jerusalem in 1967, the messianic thought of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Ha Cohen Kook, known as Rav Kook has fueled the creation of numerous associations.

The associations are still a minority, but they are witnessing significant development as a result of funding American evangelical Christian networks. They have also received major support for two years from supporters of religious Zionism within Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
