Gallbladder is a small organ located on the right side of the abdomen. Its job is to secrete and store bile, which is made by the liver to help digest fats.

Gallbladder diseases affect about 20% of people, and are more common among females than among males. Symptoms of a problem inside the gallbladder appear in the form of pain in the upper right side, and may move to the back or to the shoulder. After the operation, some people experience some symptoms, such as indigestion or diarrhea.
