Despite recommendations issued by the US administration to reduce the military presence in the Middle East, the current reality highlights the deployment of tens of thousands of American soldiers. Washington currently maintains approximately 45,000 soldiers in Middle Eastern countries.

Tensions with China, the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the one hand, or the tensions that the region has witnessed since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, have not changed the numbers of these forces. In tense areas, there are about 900 soldiers to carry out counter-terrorism operations against ISIS in Syria. In stable areas, Washington has about 2,700 soldiers stationed in Saudi Arabia.
