A graphic video clip circulated on social media platforms showed a number of German police officers assaulting a veiled woman during a pro-Palestine demonstration. The police surrounded the woman and threw her to the ground, while she was screaming and saying, “What is this? What are you doing?” Then they arrested her even though she did not pose any threat! In the same demonstration, the police suppressed the demonstrators inside the central train station in the capital, Berlin.
Police said in a statement that the demonstration was unauthorized and was impeding the movement of passengers.
