India says it has uncovered a ‘major human trafficking network’ Lured young Indians to Russia with the promise of a job, but for the sole purpose of forcing them to fight in Ukraine. Around 35 men were forcibly conscripted into the Russian army.
At least two Indian soldiers were killed in this war which is not theirs. Indian investigators have arrested several suspects, notably in New Delhi and Mumbai. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has promised to bring the victims of this trafficking back to India as quickly as possible.
