India confirms the death of one of its citizens fighting in the Russian army. His name was Mohammed Asfan.
His relatives assured AFP that he had been sent to fight in Ukraine. He was one of the Indian citizens enlisted by Moscow for the needs of the army. Around a hundred Indians were recruited by Russia for its army.. Indian soldiers said they agreed to enlist in exchange for attractive salaries and a Russian passport. They also said they were promised they would not fight but were trained in the use of Kalashnikovs and other weapons.
