Israeli military withdraws most of its ground troops from the Gaza Strip. According to media reports, only one unit remains on site.

The withdrawal has nothing to do with pressure from the USA, says military representative. In the near future, the army plans to station three divisions on the border with the Gaza Gaza Strip, from which the armed forces can enter the Gaza strip if necessary. The remaining troops are intended to "preserve the Israeli army's freedom of action," says the dpa news agency.
