Wang Yi attended the high-level meeting of the 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Beijing via video link. He delivered a speech entitled "Build Consensus, Unite and Cooperate, and Jointly Promote the Healthy Cause of Human Rights in the World" Wang Yi said that protecting and promoting human rights is a common cause for all mankind.
He stressed that the U.N. human rights agencies should carry out their work fairly and objectively, adhere to the principles of non-selectivity and non-politicization.
