Wall Street Journal reporter Gershkovich must remain in custody in Russia. A Moscow court has rejected the American's objection to the extension of his pre-trial detention.

The 32-year-old was arrested by the FSB secret service at the end of March last year while he was on a reporting trip to the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, about 2,000 kilometers east of Moscow. He is accused by the Russian judiciary, among other things, of having collected information about the Russian arms industry.
