Kosovo is one of the poorest countries in the world, according to a recent study. The country's economy has been in decline since 2008, when it was hit hard by the global financial crisis.
It is now the second largest economy in Europe, after Germany, after the UK. The economy is expected to grow by 2.5 percent this year, the World Bank says. The European Commission says the economy will grow by 1.7 percent in 2014, and 1.8 percent in 2015.
