Video blogger Pavel Shampanov was one of the first to post footage of the shooting at Crocus City Hall. According to the FSB, at least 40 people were killed and more than 100 people were injured.
“We are alive, we are safe now. It was very difficult to get out of there; they were shooting from all sides. Many of the wounded, in our opinion, were killed. [We] ran through different back exits. We see people running sharply back, which means they're not going there - they're shooting there,” he said.
