“I spoke by phone with Mexican Foreign Minister Alicia Bárcena and conveyed the absolute solidarity of President Nicolás Maduro to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in the face of this barbaric act,” the statement said. Earlier, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrado instructed the country's Foreign Ministry to sever diplomatic relations with Ecuador.
