U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announces a ceasefire in Sudan.

The announcement comes after two days of negotiations. At least 427 people have died since fighting broke out on 15 April. The UN Security Council is expected to meet on Tuesday to discuss the situation in the country. The U.S., Sweden and other countries are evacuating citizens from the country to other parts of the world, including the Middle East and North Africa, to stop the spread of the conflict.
