US imposes sanctions on two Sudanese banks. U.N.

says conflict in Sudan has caused the displacement of 8 million people. More than 100,000 people have been displaced by the conflict, according to U.S. officials. The sanctions are aimed at two banks, one of which was used to fund the Sudanese army. The other is used to pay for the army's weapons, which were used to fight the conflict in the first place, the U.K. says.
