Jack Teixeira, the young man identified as the suspect behind one of the biggest leaks of Pentagon documents in the last decade, was indicted this year. The 21-year-old appeared this morning before the magistrate judge of the District Court of Massachusetts, David Hennessy, who read the charges against him.
He was arrested by the FBI at his home Thursday without incident, appeared in federal court dressed in a brown khaki jumpsuit. He is charged with crimes of transmission of national defense information and extraction of classified information.
