University students from Japan, China and South Korea give speeches appealing to the importance of exchange in the languages of the three countries. This speech contest was held on the 24th in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in inland China.
The winning Chinese graduate student, who gave speeches in three languages, said, ''When interacting, I think it's important to find connections and respect each other.'' The Korean female student who won with her Chinese speech said, ``From now on, my goal is to study Japanese and be able to interact with people from the three nations"
