United Airlines puts pilots on unpaid leave due to delayed delivery of Boeing planes. The airline also previously said it would suspend pilot hiring in the spring of 2024.
Boeing passenger planes have experienced multiple accidents, including engine fires, tires falling off, and skidding off the runway. The company had expected Boeing to deliver 80 Max 10s in 2024 and 71 in 2025. However, the company also said that the model has not yet been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), so it has been removed from the delivery schedule.
