The UN Children's Fund has examined data from more than 30 conflict zones. The sad result: hundreds of thousands of children worldwide have been victims of wars and violence.

The aid organization is now calling for consequences. According to Unicef, at least 105,000 children were recruited as child soldiers, and more than 16,000 girls and boys were victims of sexual violence. Over 32,500 children have been kidnapped by parties to the conflict, and schools and hospitals have been attacked more than16,000 times.
