Ukrainian authorities say they have sunk a large Russian amphibious ship off the coast of Russia-controlled southern Crimea. The use of unmanned vessels has increased pressure on the Russian Navy operating in the Black Sea.
Footage released by the Defense Ministry's Intelligence Directorate that appears to have been taken from an unmanned boat shows the ship snaking toward a ship at sea, an explosion, smoke rising, and a hole in the ship's hull. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a bill that would confiscate assets of anyone who spreads false information about Russian military activities.
