A staff member of a United Nations agency working in the Gaza Strip in Palestine was suspected of being involved in an attack on Israel by the Islamic organization Hamas. The United Nations Security Council held a meeting as a number of countries announced that they would suspend funding to UN agency staff working in Gaza. "We need to investigate how the organization was managing its staff and make fundamental changes," said U.N. Ambassador Thomas Greenfield.
