The new government led by Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko was named Friday evening April 5, three days after the inauguration of new President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. A tight government with twenty-five ministers and five secretaries of state, including two generals and only four women.

Pending the transfer of power between ministers which will take place from Monday, comments are pouring out on the new government made up of figures from the new ruling party Pastef, but also two soldiers, a prosecutor and several experts.
