In two years the number of police cameras in Sweden has doubled. But there are big differences in coverage depending on where in the country you live.

Between 2021 and 2023, the police's fixed camera surveillance points have increased from 420 to 859. In October last year, the government announced that the government and the Sweden Democrats want to see an increase to 2,500 cameras this year. In addition to the fixed cameras, there were also 880 mobile/temporary cameras in theCountry at the turn of the year.
