Trump: an appeals court rejects his request for criminal immunity, a “destructive judgment” according to him. “If not reversed as it must be, this decision will seriously undermine not only the presidency, but also the life, breath and success of our country,” he wrote on his Truth Social network.
Donald Trump reaffirmed his intention to appeal this ruling which reopens the way to his federal trial for attempting to illegally reverse the results of the 2020 election. The decision does not, however, include any mention of a resumption of the procedural acts in this case, suspended due to the appeal.
