Trade union Seko and employer Almega Tågföretagen have failed in negotiations. The conflict between the parties is about changes in train drivers' schedules.

"They can change the start time by several hours just a day or so before," an anonymous train driver told SVT. He hopes that the strike will lead to stronger wordings in the collective agreement, which will make it more difficult for the employer to change times and locations late, he says. The strike may break out in Stockholm and Malmö on Thursday.
