Abu Hamza, the military spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades (the military wing of Islamic Jihad), stressed his commitment to duty towards the martyrs. He said the massacres will increase the Palestinian people's adherence to resistance until the liberation of all Palestine.

The airstrikes killed 13 Palestinians, including 4 children and 4 women, and wounded 20 others, while the Jerusalem Brigades said 3 of its leaders, their wives and their children were among the victims. The Israeli military said in separate statements that the operation, dubbed "Defensive Arrow", targeted Islamic Jihad and its commanders.
