Israeli Army Radio reported on Thursday evening that an Israeli was killed and 5 other people were wounded by a rocket falling on Rehovot, south of Tel Aviv. Israel assassinated a fifth military commander of the resistance in the Gaza Strip on Thursday afternoon, and said it was seeking to kill as many first-line leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement as possible.
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, announced that it was bombing Israeli cities with intense rocket barrages in response to the assassination.
