Sudanese activists who called for an end to the armed conflict in their country say that the US administration has finally realized the importance of Sudan, its location and strategic position. In front of the White House in Washington, D.C., a large number of Sudanese Americans gathered to protest the continued fighting between the Sudanese army led by Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Deterrence Forces led by General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo (Hemedti) The protesters called on the U.S.

administration to take a tougher stance and use all its tools and influence in relevant regional capitals to work to stop the fighting.
