The wreckage of the Mi-8 helicopter was found 11 km from the coast of Lake Onega. 140 specialists and 33 pieces of equipment, as well as divers from the Special Risk Rescue Operations Center, are working at the emergency site.

For underwater work, a remote-controlled vehicle with a diving depth of up to 300 m was used. The head of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov, also noted that the helicopter was making a training flight along the route Peski Airport - Vytegra Airport.
